Take a Break: Try Taiji Qigong 18

With the flu epidemic in full swing, and this year’s vaccination not exactly the best match, this is a good time to try Qigong. Research is showing that a practice of Qigong can help to reduce the incidence of flu in seniors.

Taiji Qigong (also known as Shibashi) consists of a series of 18 simple exercises designed  to promote the body’s natural healing energy, reduce stress and create a feeling of well-being. The handout from Ronnie Robinson provides a good overview of 18 Step Taiji Qigong. Read this first to get an understand of this particular type of Qigong practice.

Use the  Taiji Qigong to help you learn how to do the movements in sequence. Note that “c” means to inhale while “pull” means to exhale.
