The weather is starting to shift in VT, with the nights now in the 50s. With Labor Day weekend in a few days, and schools starting, there is time to squeeze in one more sun project. This time it's making sun prints.
You’ll need
100% white or light colored cotton fabric. Some acrylic paints, leaves and other
items that suitable for leaving a “print” and a sunny day. Check out Acrylic Paint Sun Prints for step by step instructions and/or watch the video below.
Don't have paints or fabric? You can make interesting sun prints with construction paper. Take leaves or other items, lay on the construction paper, and leave in the sun. It's a good idea to cover with glass (use glass from a picture frame) so items don't blow away. I've been able to do this in a very spot in my house in the dead of winter, so the last of summer sun should yield some good results.
