Life with Chronic Conditions: Doodle Away Stress and Anxiety

The first of the year can be stressful, as well as a bit depressing after all the holiday fun. And then there is the frigid conditions the whole country is experiencing. Doodling, of one sort or another, is a great way to destress, reduce anxiety and relax. Below are some videos to help get you started. I discovered that if I do this on card stock, I can cut them up and use them as note cards.

I make all sorts of designs using Sharpies, pens, pencils or whatever is lying around on my desk. That goes for paper too. While  the videos below talk about sharpies or other pens, whatever you have on hand is just fine.

If you are looking for other ways to “take a break,” be sure to check out the Take a Break Pinterest Board.

One last thing, there is a lot of research that shows how beneficial doodling is in supporting health, well-being, concentration, creativity and more. It’s freezing cold in my office, so I’m not going to include links on that but definitely do a search if it’s of interest.
