Take a Break: Celebrate spring by making mandala from nature or Peeps

Snow refuses to let go in VT but the calendar says it’s spring and there are definitely bare patches of ground-enough to go pick up items such as small stones, twigs etc. Whatever is in your natural environment will work. Also, because it’s close to Easter, there are all sorts of Peeps in the store. So to start on your nature (or Peep) mandala:

Step 1: Gather different items, such as stones, pine cones, acorns, leaves, shells and whatever else you can fine.

Step 2: Select a spot to build your mandala. A flat space is best so a patio, beach, field or even the living room floor will work.

Step 3. Choose a centerpiece and build out from it using like items for each “ring.” Experiment by sticking twigs out from the center and building layers between the twigs.

If you decide to go with Peeps, mix and match with jelly beans and rabbits and you’ll have an interesting design.

Take a photograph.
