Oct. 11 is Indigenous Peoples Day in Vermont, 13 other states, the District of Columbia and more than 130 cities. Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebrates, recognizes, and honors the cultures of the “first peoples,” not just in America, but around the world
There are lots of ways to celebrate it but one of the most helpful is learning about the first peoples of the land you currently reside on. What did they call the land where you live? Check to see if they have videos on-line as well as local activities taking place.
