Summer is rapidly winding down in Vermont. The
morning fog, chirping crickets and the smell of the occasional wood stove
reminds us that in just a few weeks school is back in session and summer will
be a memory. So while the sun shines and the hammock still hangs between the
trees, it’s perfect for an afternoon read of a classic book.
How long has it been since you read “Adventures
of Huckleberry Finn,” “Dracula,” anything by Jules Verne, or even one of Poe’s
chilling stories? You can go to the library and get one of these or many other
classics, or you can read an e-version for free on your tablet, laptop or
computer. At the moment, I’m reading Jules Verne’s “The Time Machine” on my
iPod while working out at the gym.
Not a book person, what about a classic movie?
Many are in the public domain. I’m a
sucker for
