Take a Break with a Savoring Walk

It’s the first week in January and while it may be cold and snowy in some parts of the country, it’s really a matter of having the right clothes, versus what the thermometer says. The Scandinavians have known this for years-get outside as it’s good for the mind, body and soul.

So bundle up, if it’s cold out, and enjoy a savoring walk. Walk for whatever length of time that is comfortable for you observing the sights, sounds, and smells you experience. Each time you notice something positive, take the time to absorb it and think about why you enjoy it.

If you have a phone with photography capabilities, take a picture of things you enjoy so that you can refer back to them.

When you come home, enjoy a restorative warm drink and enjoy a cozy retreat.
