Today is April 22, Earth Day,
and also the March for Science. This is a very brief post since the best way to
honor this day is to be active. So consider one of the following:
• Make Environmentally Safer
Choice-The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set up the Safer Choice website to help you pick products that are better for your health and the
environment.
• Check out local
activities pertaining to the March for Science in your community.
• Become a Citizen
Scientist: There
are many projects that could use your help, whether it’s photographing plants
in your backyard, keeping a diary of a medical condition, or even collecting
dirt to help with the discovery of new lifesaving antibiotics. No matter your
age or ability, there is something you can do. Check out the website The Crowd & The Cloud to
not only see how Citizen Science is answering a lot of questions, but also find a project that you and or your family
might be interested in doing.
