It was really hot and my son’s girlfriend pulled out a fan and proceeded to cool herself off. Turns out everyone is using fans in NYC as they wait for the subway or walking down the street. Below are some tutorials on making fans in a pinch.
Note: If you’re a walker, using a fan will keep the bugs off you as they can’t handle the breeze.
Paddle fans: These were popular where I grew up and I seem to remember a lot of them were advertisements. I actively thought they made you feel cooler than the other types of paper fans.
