Take a Break: D.I.Y. it for the 4th

With the 4th of July just two days away, here are some fun last minute activities to put you in a patriotic mood.

DIY Hand print Flag T-shirt  This uses a onesie for a child, but can be easily adopted for an adult shirt.

4th of July Candle Luminaries: This is very cool and uses Epsom salts for the red, white and blue. If you don’t have Epsom salts, you can easily dye table salt, sugar or even fine sand by putting them in a plastic bag, adding a few drops of food color, tightly closing the bag and “massaging” the bag until the dye is well distributed. The best food dyes, as far as color, come in the small jars. However, the drops also work but just aren’t as vibrant.

• 4th of July Pinwheel  I’m a sucker for pinwheels. Use this as a pattern to make lots of pinwheels.
