Take a Break: Celebrating Christmas 1930s- Stars

While stars are popular year round, many a Christmas tree will have one at the top or a garland made of small ones. In the 1930s, women’s magazines would have provided directions for making stars and any scrap of paper would have been used.  

Lots of different ways to make paper stars for your tree or garland:

Stars using accordion or fan folding, different cuts result in different types of stars:

• Christmas tree star: Can make one for the top or lots for the entire tree.
