Being still is part of many spiritual traditions, and can be considered a form of meditation. There are lots of ways to try this, from holding a
particular position or concentrating on a specific word. Below are some ways to
“hold still.”
• Close your eyes while sitting or standing. Take a deep
breath in through your nose and silently count one. Slowly let that breath out
through your nose and silently say two. Repeat this until you get to ten.
