PBS is sponsoring The Great American Read, which is an eight part series that
explores and celebrates the power of reading, told through the prism of 100
best-loved novels (as chosen in a national survey). While the television
series features short segments about the various books, you can go to the
website and vote for your favorite book (you can do this once a day),
take the How Many Books Have You Read Quiz
join a book club and more. Summer is the perfect time to check out new authors
and try a new genre of books.
