December 13 is St. Lucia’s day. This feast
honors the saint, who, according to legend brought food and aid to Christians hiding in the catacombs using a
candle lit wreath to light her way thereby leaving her hands free to carry as much
food as possible.
A celebration dating back to the
middle ages, it’s a time to bring light at the darkest part of the winter.

May this day bring joy and light as we await the coming
